Join us on Friday, April 24 for the 2026 St. Gianna Banquet, an evening celebrating the mission of the St. Teresa of Calcutta Newman Center, and marking an exciting milestone for the future of Catholic campus ministry in Kearney.
This year’s banquet will be an historic night, as we share plans, drawings, timelines, and details for the Newman Center’s future church. Since 1952, St. Teresa’s has served students in “temporary” spaces, yet the ministry continues to grow. Students are packed into the chapel, fellowship spills outside in every season, and the need for a true church home has never been clearer. The time has come to build it.
You’ll enjoy a meaningful and memorable evening at Younes North. Beginning with 5:00 PM Mass with Bishop Joseph Hanefeldt, followed by social time with an open bar, a beautiful dinner, and a private concert with Catholic singer-songwriter Danielle Rose, music that moves hearts and reminds us why this mission matters.
All proceeds from the St. Gianna Banquet support the operating mission of the Newman Center—helping provide the sacraments, welcome converts, support FOCUS missionaries, and form students in faith.
